Gotham City
Duo Maxwell, former resident of another reality that was by far--way different than this one. He wasn't sure why he choose to check this city out. But he had been adventuring around. He knew that quite a few people weren't aware opf the strange going-ons. The rift between realities.
But he sure was. He was just looking for something to do. To elp figure out what this other world was like. But he sure hadn't expected to get mugged. Or nearly mugged anyways. He was in an all out fight with the guys that had decided it was a good idea to try jumping him.

"Oh geezs!" Duo rolls out of the way of a knife. Damn. Too close. It had torn into his jacket.
"Oh come on fellas...You're not playing nice," Duo crows at them. What fun. He might have some explaining to do if his guardian found out about this.

They called me a maniac in my world. I was the Iron Maniac. I couldn't blame those people. I mean I helped kill their heroes after the tittanias war. Those in the masks no longer suited my purposes. Johnny stormed helped burn me face. Due to some sort of freak accident, I seem to have found myself on an alternate Earth and was defeated again.

I have been sitting in this chamber in Nick Fury's hellicarrier for too long. It was time to leave my current situation and plan my revenge on this alternate world. You do not treat the ruler of Latveria this way.

I opened my eyes and punched a hole through the glass. Now all I had to do was find my armor.

"You! Freeze where you stand, I won't warn you again."

I looked behind me and their stood a young agent. He was a small man, at least 5'6. I laughed and walked towards him.

"You have no idea who you are messing with child, now move or be killed."

"I'm afraid I can....."

I threw him into the wall and continued on my way. The impact knocked him out cold, I could care less about the pitiful man's life. I found my armor in the next room where I had been and quickly put it on. I blasted a hole threw the carrier and quickly left.

"First plan, find someone with power."

I realized of course, that landing in New York, this would not be that difficult. I landed in a crowd of people and saw a small glimmr of fire appear from the opposite side of the crowd, changing my armor into civilian gear and covering up my scars.

"You, did I see that correctly?"

He was just what I was looking for.

The MELEE Thread
((Time for some character-building, mun-unboring, out-of-continuity FUN -- any and all pups from our little comm welcome! And don't worry about intruding on someone elses' fight. It's all good.

Any pup that enters the arena will have an urge to fight, and a feeling of distrust for, any new person they meet.

And remember! What happens in the arena -- STAYS in the arena. Have at it, folks!))

Back in business...
~Los Angeles, the City of Angels. A tarnished jewel of decadent glory, rising high from the desert country and ocean. Spires of glass and steel climbed ever higher each year, casting a long shadow below. And in that shadow there were plenty of opportunities for a person without certain...moral objections to make a living.~

And into those shadows, the man known to some as The Grifter was hard at work...Collapse )

Clint went ahead of Duo right when they reached California and headed for the old compound. He landed his glider quietly a few feet away from the compound and hopped off. He went inside, being as quiet as possible and saw the damage. The building was still on fire and all he could do was look concerned.

"hello? Is anyone there? Do you need help?"

He paused and waited for an answer before going for some water.

Gotham City
Diana sat unrecognized on a bench in the park. While she didn't have a secret identity per se, she was rarely recognized when she was dressed casually. Even though most of them had seen her face in the paper more than once, people weren't usually prepared to jump to the conclusion that the woman they passed on the subway is Wonder Woman, however well they might know her features.

The Amazon held her hand out for a nearby pigeon, which landed there compliantly. Diana smiled at the creature. It was the first time she'd smiled in what seemed like too long. She bent down to whisper to it and received her answer: the current location of Black Canary. She remembered that it was how she'd found Kal the first time she'd met him but shook off the memory, standing to go find a friend she hadn't seen in too long.

Clint smiles, wish was always a plus. He rolled himself out of bed and jumped into the shower. He had been thinking about this weird feeling he had lately, almost as if something big was about to happen. He got out of the shower and put a towel on. He walked over to his mirror and just laughed.

"God Barton, your getting old."

He got dressed and put on his Quiver. He whistled as he went down the stair case and almost tripped over his bow. He yelled down to Duo.

"Did you forget to tell me I left my bow up here?"

They were on a tight schedule that day, after all they were about to take the glider out to the West Coast.
